Medford, OR --- Merchant360, Inc., the leader in Near Field Communication Integration at the Point of Sale, announced today the delivery of the Waste Can Pickup Management Application for Android. The solution incorporates an Android tablet inside the vehicle and a remote contactless reader attached to the pickup arm of the vehicle. Waste cans have contactless tags embedded in them and when a tag is read during pick up the system tracks and reports that pick up in real time.
The solution is being tested by an east coast utility authority that embedded contactless in trash cans for inventory tracking long ago.

Medford, OR (October 9, 2011) - - Merchant360, Inc., the leader in Near Field Communication Integration at the Point of Sale, Health Portal Solutions, Inc., the Pioneer of Health Data Management for Self-Insured’s, and CliniCard, Inc., the Innovator of Health Card Solutions have announced an alliance today to improve Patient Identification and Payments using Near Field Communications Technology.
The solution is called PatientID+ and will be demonstration at the 31st Annual Self-Insurance Institute of America Conference and Expo being held in Phoenix, AZ October 9 and 10th.
PatientID+ uses NFC technology to allow health care providers to perform identity verification, eligibility screening, and payment at intake. Identity, benefit, and payment Information is securely stored on the PatientID+ mobile contactless tag or in the patient’s mobile phone equipped with NFC. The patient enters a PIN to access and transmit the information to the Provider who then authenticates to access the information.
"The goal is to get rid of those forms we all dislike to fill out when we get to the doctor’s office thereby speeding up the process, making it more convenient for the patient and increasing data accuracy. The PatientID+ solution optionally uses magnetic swipe technology to read identification number from the card, like everyday bank card, and then securely pulls the information from the cloud.

Payment Terminals Need NFC Stack to Enable Scheme Contactless and New NFC Applications to Work on The Same Device and Merchant360 Delivers

25, 2011 – Merchant360, the leading Point of Sale (POS) application
developer specializing in Near Field Communication (NFC) and mobile contactless
integration, announces the release of its NFC Stack for Payment Terminals.
Currently POS Terminals with contactless scheme (Visa
Paywave, MasterCard PayPass, Amercian Express ExpressPay, Chase Blink, and Discover
Zip) payment solutions do not allow for easy and inexpensive integration of
non-traditional applications like Bling Nation and MoneyCell to reside and
share the contactless reader. Merchant360’s new NFC stack allows for the
sharing of the integrated contactless reader between multiple applications on a
terminal and the dynamic clearing of NFC messages directed at specific
applications.
Non-Scheme payment, loyalty, coupon, and ticketing or
value-add solution providers have long been kept from residing on
multi-application contactless terminals by lockdowns and high costs. MoneyCell
had to pay very high fees to get its mobile tags encoded with a proprietary
financial format keeping them from distributing NFC tags as freely as they
would have liked. Other programs chose to use their own formats but this makes
it difficult for the application to cohabitate with scheme payment solution
terminals and requires the program manager or retailer to bear additional and
unnecessary costs. Merchant360 believes that retailers who own their equipment
should have open choice of applications that reside on their devices and
therefore was driven to develop the NFC Stack solution.

point of sale now and clients like Bling Nation and MoneyCell were continually
met with high costs and incompatibility issues so we designed and delivered a

New non-scheme solutions can still take advantage of the
high security within the POS payment solutions without licensing financial
formats that may not even support all that’s needed. With standard NFC message
formats still undefined for things like check-in service, coupon distribution
and redemption, and customized receipt delivery the current implementations
must maintain flexibility while still adhering to strong brand and security
requirements. The solution from Merchant360 allows for remote updating of the
device when new NFC applications and formats are released allowing for retailer
and ultimately more consumer choice.
M360 is in talks with other hardware manufacturers about
integrating its NFC stack and is working with programs who want to integrate to
POS solutions now.

Medford, OR., May 3, 2011 / –– Merchant360, Inc., the leader in Point of Sale (POS) terminal application development and integration specializing in Mobile and Near Field Communications technology, has released a solution to enable retailers with a VeriFone Vx terminal to read barcodes from mobile phones for coupon redemption and loyalty program member identification.
Mobile barcode solutions like that used by Target and Starbucks to deliver coupons, manage loyalty identification, and process payments are growing but until now smaller retailers could not participate in or deploy their own solution without the high cost of integration and deployment of a larger Point of Sale (POS) systems.
The solution integrates a barcode reader with custom cable engineered by Merchant360 and an application developed by Merchat360 that runs on VeriFone Vx line of terminals. The core application can be customized and used for reading mobile coupons, scanning Universal Product Codes (UPC) from items and keeping a tab, check out, visit tracking, and loyalty identification.
